The State Administration of Grain (SAG) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with East China's Shandong Province on Monday to promote the development of China's grain sector and make the industry safer.

The SAG will help Shandong accelerate the transformation and upgrading of its grain industry through innovation.

The administration will support local enterprises to nurture high-quality brands of grain and oil products, and it will also support the construction of grain logistics infrastructure, according to the SAG. The SAG and Shandong will also announce laws and rules covering grain safety.
